Henderson man dies after plane crashes Thursday night
HAMILTON COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Henderson man died after the plane he was flying crashed in Hamilton County Thursday night.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the plane crash near 5th and X Roads, about three miles southwest of Henderson.
Deputies from Hamilton and York counties responded to the crash site along with Henderson Fire and Aurora Ambulance.
The pilot, identified as Rick Boardman, 61, of Henderson, died at the scene. Hamilton County Sheriff Jeromy McCoy said Boardman was spraying his property before the crash.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office offered condolences to Boardman’s family. The investigation into the crash will be handled by the FAA and the NTSB.
